Soul Sister Sally is:
The funk/fusion sound of Soul Sister Sally is created by Kelly Williams (lead vocals), Darren Buckner (lead guitar), Chris Forslund (former bass player for Christian recording artist John Waller), Charles King (keyboards), and Andy Williams (percussion). Formed in 2006 by Andy Williams (former drummer for the Grammy Award winning band Casting Crowns) and his wife Kelly, the band has existed through a growing word-of-mouth reputation garnered for electrifying stage shows that include ministry as well as music. The band's underlying message is a traditional one - there is a universal need for the healing touch of God. The medium just happens to be a funky, jazz-inspired, R & B sound that is rarely found on today's contemporary Christian music scene. A cohesive unit that considers themselves more family than bandmates, members collaborate on writing, arranging, and producing duties. “We believe God has who He needs in this band to do this ministry,” says Kelly Williams. That ministry is more than just concert and album production. The band performs with a sincere desire to see people reconciled in their relationships with people and with God.
